South Beach is recognized one of the hottest nightspots in the world. With a slew of hotels, restaurants and bars sitting across the street from the ocean, it is definitely an adult entertainment mecca. Topless and other nearly nude sunbathers are the norm and metered parking is at a premium. This gay-friendly beach is a great place to go people-watching.

This is a great place to take a walk on the beach with over three miles of sand and surf. Numerous picnic tables, showers and restrooms adorn a park-like setting before actually stumbling across the sand. Plenty of parking is available at $4 per vehicle. Be sure to park close, it's a long walk to the shore.

Haulover Beach Park

At Haulover, you can catch the latest ride out with a fishing boat, ride the waves or tan even the most hidden of places on your body. Haulover provides plenty of areas to barbecue, a small 9-hole golf course and watersport rentals. One thing to keep in mind: the north end of the beach is a rare clothing-optional area. Parking is $4 per vehicle.

Located at the very end of Key Biscayne, this 410-acre park has a great beaches and plenty to do. There are bike, skate and watercraft rentals as well as 18 picnic shelters and a pair of cafes. Parking is in abundance at $4 per vehicle.

A large swath of the most exclusive hotels, resorts and condos swallow up a good portion of this area between Haulover Park and South Beach. However, you'll find plenty public parking, picnic tables and restrooms between 79th and 87th streets at North Shore Park.
